Bored out of my Gourd

Seriously. I went from working a LOT the past week and a half, to doing almost nothing at all these past two days. This is driving me insane.

Speaking of driving, it took me 2.5 hours to get to work today. I borrowed my dad's brand new GPS, and decided to take its detour routes because of a motorcycle accident that blocked I-95 for a while. There was actually another motorcycle accident -- in Maryland, I think -- this morning as well. What is it with motorcycle accidents this week? Ben Roethlisberger of the Steelers had something like 7 hours of surgery for his accident. Then again, he also wasn't wearing a helmet. Man, those things are deathmobiles. (Scott, I hope you're reading this, but probably not, since most people use MySpace, Xanga, and other slow, vastly inferior blogging mechanisms.)

I asked the Lord's forgiveness for actually losing my temper at the combination of the traffic, the GPS having some technical difficulties, and the apparent Murphy's Law (that happens almost every time) of me actually getting up much earlier than normal just so that I can start work early, only to end up with yet another traffic accident slowing me up. The GPS wouldn't respond, and I needed to know when my turn was coming up. Nonetheless, I hate it when I get that angry, I almost never do anymore, so if I do, I feel pretty junky about it. As I was getting to work, my mom happened to call me to ask me about something else, and she helped calm me down. Thank you, God, for arranging that one.

So anyway, I'm insanely bored. *sigh* I can't wait for kabobs tonight at Josh and Jadey's. Maybe I'll leave here early, make up the hours later this week, and help them cook. Ah...like old times -- Grill Day.

  • I'm at a job that has been dead for the last 3 weeks and I'm about to go insane. I decided to type in bored out of my gourd blogspot and your blog popped up.
