U2 and Bono Ridiculosity

I'm not sure if ridiculosity is a word or not, but I'm sticking with it.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really tired of people trying to say U2 and/or Bono is Christian. This is disheartening to me. I know several people, including some past friends, who would say this. Whether he is or not, I don't know, but what he is trying to convey is in complete opposition to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whether he knows it or not. I really think that the following images speak for themselves...

Exhibit A
What you see here is quite self-explanatory. The C is the crescent moon of Islam, the X is the star of David of Judaism, and the T is the Cross of Jesus Christ of Christianity. Keep in mind it's in red lights...IN AMSTERDAM -- a city famous for it's "red light district" of legal drugs, prostitution (which is subsidized by the government), and the like. Linking Christianity and Islam is not possible. Sure, we'll "coexist" -- as in we'll live on the same planet, but promoting something like this is really just wishful thinking. Islam's mission, straight from their scriptures, is to kill the infidel. That's YOU, if you're not Muslim.

Exhibit B

Equally ridiculous is Bono himself wearing a bandana which has the same "coexist" nonsense written across the front of it.

It simply astounds me that some Christians are so quick to call Bono a Christian because he may name the name of Christ and because he's a celebrity. I wonder if those same Christians would call someone like that a Christian if they did not have celebrity status. What if I stated to say to you that I think Christians and Satanists should "coexist?"

"Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?"

Lancaster, PA

It's been awhile since I've posted pictures to this site, so I just thought I'd post some that I really like from Lancaster, PA (Amish country). I went up there with Aaron and other from church during Christmas time to the Sight & Sound Theater to see "The Miracle of Christmas." We visited Amish country while we were there. We're also going during Easter time. I can't wait!
